You visit many centuries old Tibetan monasteries like Tiger Monastery, Namgyal monastery, Choser Monastery in Lo Mangthang. While trekking you traverse the desert land of the Trans Himalayan region, rugged mountains, villages etc. you can combine this trek to the Muktinath temple. From Aarughat you follow the Budhi Gandaki river valley and passes through the subtropical forest in the Middle hill land to alpine meadows and the high desert land, ethnic villages, and emerald terraced farm with the views of the river valley, mountain vistas, waterfalls as well as the natural scenery.

In the lower part of the Manaslu circuit trekking region is inhabited by the Gurung, Magar, Tamang etc whereas the upper part is inhabited by the Tibetan people. From the Tibetan village you reach the Samagaun and head to Larkya La pass and enter the Marsyangdi river valley and descend down to Bhimtang before joining the Annapurna circuit trekking trail. This circuit ends at Besisahar of Lamjung District. The Upper part of the Manaslu region is controlled trekking region and the trekkers require the special permit from the government of Nepal. The best season to go for the Manaslu circuit trek is from March to May and August to November.
